So many people have family stories or studied genealogy.  Hearing them speak about the bravery of their ancestors; discoveries they made that create a richer tapestry of who they are.  In studying my family I found a 'triad' that is often reflected in many other Americans.  These three recur in many lineages: the Native American, the Immigrant and the Pioneer.  As I studied this saga in my own family tree and have heard the histories of friends far and near, I was inspired to present this sculpture that echoes so much of who we are, and what has gone to make us a part of this unique tapestry of the 'Ancestry Saga.'
