19" by 8"

Stoneware Clay with bronze patina

This lady repslendant with the fashion of Versailles, leans against a tree in the garden and 'awaits the last verse', the title resplendant with various meanings.

Sculptor's note:  The position of her arms was taken from the movie about Michelangelo depicted by actor Charleton Heston, The Agony & the Ecstacy.  Heston's portrayal of Michelangelo as he would repeatedly answer the Pope's question of "When will you make an end?"  with the famous reply of "When I am finished!" oftentimes had him folding his arms in this unique position.
